My Dearest Edward, just a line to say hello it's great to be back in America. My mailing address is on the
envelope until I get my next Dojo in Central Manhattan. Wish Me luck. With love and respect

Peter Urban 10 Dan
O'Sensei Urban always kept in touch with Sensei Verycken even after he came back from Japan, after his visit with
Grand Master Yamaguchi. Sensei Verycken was the first to be contacted.

For Sensei Deacon Ed. Verycken of New Jersey I hope you like this. Drop me a letter someday soon and let me know.
Along with the above letter O' Sensei Urban
Presented Sensei Verycken with the below life time franchise certificates for his loyalty and support.

When Sensei Verycken received his life time franchise he was told by O'Sensei Urban that he did not have to pay any more
financial support now that he was a life member. Even though Sensei Verycken did not have to pay any more franchise support he
continued anyhow. Some of the USA Goju Karateka are unaware of Sensei Verycken's good nature and how close he and O'Sensei Urban were.
Dear Bro. Edward,
thank you very much indeed for the filial piety of support with your hard - earned serious green
money - power. It was most pleasant and nostalgically delightful to hear your 55 year-old voice again
since I've known you very closely since we were in our twenties. As for me I'm living by my wits
as usual and making the very best of every day in my own way. Stay aggressive and show your teeth
more love than your car.
Always Peter Urban
The above letter was sent to Sensei Verycken from
O'Sensei Urban
on some hints on how to publish his first book,

Sensei Verycken was always coming up with ideas on how to make money for O'Sensei Urban. Below are just two letters of many Karateka wanting to buy a photo of Maestro Urban In a meditating position that Sensei Verycken designed and copyrighted.
All proceeds went to O'Sensei Urban.
It is an honor and a pleasure to finally correspond with you, Maestro has told me many nice things about you, I also have a picture of you in your early years hanging on the wall of my DoJo
/museum here in Georgia. I want to thank you for what you have done and are presently doing for Maestro Urban. Enclosed is a check for the rare photo of Maestro Urban in Zazen. I truly appreciate you giving me the opportunity to add this classic time piece to my dojo shrine. Best wishes always to you and your family. If you are ever in the area of Savannah, it would be an honor to have you visit. Thanks again !!!OSS !!
Regards
John Hooker

The below letters are a very important part of U.S.A.G.A.® history
especially when it came to the gentleness and kindness of O'Sensei Urban.
The letters below were written by Sensei Dayton Guinee when he was assigned by O'Sensei Urban as Ambassador and Secretary of Financial Affairs for the Urban Alumni Association. Nov, 1982.
At the time the letter explains who was to pay and who was not to pay financial support to O'Sensei Urban.

01/04/1983, A second letter was sent out with a change of heart by 0'Sensei Urban. Upon reading these letters we have to take into consideration that many Karateka at that time were not even around or heard of, and are not familiar with some of the old bylaws that O'Sensei Urban established.
For those of you who did not know our Sensei, you might say his grandchildren and great-grandchildren,
I urge you to read the second letter below very carefully, and you will see how kind hearted our Sensei was.
O'Sensei Urban held to his word until the time of his passing.

Sincerely;
Shihan Ed. Verycken
